Most visitors coming into Vista either have the option of choosing the U.S Customs Highway or the California Highway Patrol. However, due to the business nature of the city, many trucks carrying goods from other states and towns regularly make deliveries. Services such as the United Parcel Service (UPS), Airborne Express and Federal Express also have operational terminals in the vicinity. Amtrak is one of the major railways currently conducting operations in Vista and thus can handle stops from Del Mar, Oceanside, San Juan Capistrano, Irvine, Santa Ana, Anaheim and Fullerton.

The Orange County line also has its presence noted and follows separate routes in towns such as San Clemente, Mission Viejo/Laguna Niguel, Tustin, Orange, Buena Park and Norwalk. Among the commuter Railways, Coast Express Rail and Sprinter are incredibly popular, while nearby Airports include the San Diego International Airport and the Los Angeles International Airport. Greyhound Bus Lines provides its main passenger services from a downtown depot and the area is known to see more than million people depart and arrive.
